From Humble Beginnings to Regional Leaders

When James R. Halden established the firm in 2010, it began as a two-person practice focused on commercial law in the Narrogin region. From the outset, our reputation for meticulous attention to detail and tenacious client advocacy set us apart.

Over the following years, Halden Legal expanded steadily, attracting outstanding attorneys from across Western Australia who shared our commitment to excellence. By 2016, we had grown to a team of fifteen, with specialist practice groups covering six major areas of law.

Today, with over fifty legal professionals and a client base spanning private individuals, small businesses, and major corporations, Halden Legal stands as one of WA's most respected regional law firms — without ever losing sight of the values that founded us.

2010

Firm Established

James R. Halden opens the firm at 14 Macpherson Street, Narrogin, with a focus on commercial and business law.

2013

Immigration Practice Launched

Sarah Collins joins as Senior Attorney, establishing a dedicated immigration law practice that quickly becomes one of WA's most respected.

2015

Real Estate Division Formed

Michael Brennan joins as Partner, leading a new real estate and property law division during a major period of regional development.

2018

First Major Award

Halden Legal is named Regional Law Firm of the Year by the Law Society of WA, marking national recognition of our growth and excellence.

2021

Healthcare & IP Practices Added

Emily Sutton and David Marsh join the firm, expanding our service offering into healthcare law and intellectual property, serving a new range of clients.
